​​​Monica has worked in the Arboricultural industry since 1988. She has worked nationwide as a Tree Officer in Local Authority and as a consultant, establishing Peak Tree Consultancy  in 2022.  She is a professional member of the Arboricultural Association and holds a range of professional qualifications including Professional Tree Inspection and she is also one of the few   Veteran Tree Specialists in the UK, who are VETCERT qualified.

​She has a Bsc (hons) in  Botany and Geography and a Msc  in Ecology and Environmental Management. Monica’s passion for the environment combines her experience as an Arboriculturist with her interest in the environment.  Understanding of the relationship between trees, other organisms and  their environment  and managing them accordingly  forms the central ethos Peak Tree Consultancy Ltd.

​Monica has worked in Derbyshire  for  over 20 years and has a particular interest in the diverse treescapes of the  county and its neighbor's.

Her fascination with trees inspires  to continually develop her knowledge.  

She is currently taking a sabbatical to further research the ecology of  veteran and ancient trees.​​
